Psychiatric Telemedicine in Texas

I have been a practicing Nurse Practitioner since 2011 working with people of all ages and health states.  I have walked with others through birth, death, and the day-to-day ritual of life.  I consider this work a privilege.  I practice relationship centered psychiatric care.  You will be educated and empowered to find your best health.

I have a background in Women's Health, Geriatrics (including dementia), and Metabolic Health.

I am a married mother of three adult children.  I am a follower of Christ and respect your right to your own spirituality.  I desire to assist people in their journey to health - body, mind, and spirit.

My self-care activities include reading, embroidery, outdoor walks, 90s Hip Hop, and British TV.

What is a PMHNP?

Nurse practitioners (NP) are Registered Nurses with additional education and clinical training which entitles them to advanced practice including diagnosing and treating medical conditions.   NPs work in a variety of settings, you may have been treated by one at your primary care office, ER, or during surgery.  There are several certifications, each requires specialized classroom and clinical training.

Our psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) specializes in medication management of psychiatric conditions.  We will diagnose and treat common mental health conditions such as: anxiety, depression, bipolar, mood disorders, sleep disorders, migraines, and other mental health conditions.  Dual certified NPs have training in more than one specialty.  Dual certified NPs may also treat obesity (as it relates to mental health) and the cognitive and mood changes of menopause.
